Pagoda Hong Tiek Hian, that's his name. This temple is the oldest temple in Surabaya. Hong Tiek Hian Pagoda built by Tartar troops on border Khu Khan era, at the beginning of the Kingdom Mojopahit, about 1293. This temple can be visited at Jl. Hamlet, in North Surabaya, in Chinatown. Pagoda Hong Tiek Hian be referred to as Pagoda Hamlet.
Hong Tiek Hian Pagoda consists of two adjacent buildings separated by a small road. On the first floor can be found an altar Macko and Kong Co. On the second floor, laid Altar to Buddha, Kwan Im Dewei and several other goddesses.
Pagoda Hong Tiek Hian is still actively used as a place of worship. Besides being a place of worship, Pagoda Hong Tiek Hian also used as Chinese traditional events such as puppet shows Pho Tee Hi or major celebrations such as Chinese Lunar New Year.
